Deaver Retractors, Lung Spatulas
Deaver Retractor is a large, handheld retractor commonly used to hold back the abdominal wall during abdominal or thoracic procedures. It may also be used to move or hold organs away from the surgical site. The Deaver retractor is shaped like a question mark with a thin, flat blade. It is available with a grip handle which is often held by a surgical assistant during procedures, or a flat handle so the retractor can be clamped into a position. They are also available in several lengths with varying blade widths. This item is a Fig. 2 1/2 retractor. It has a 25 mm wide blade, is 365 mm long overall, and has a flat handle.
