Mccoy Flexible Tip Fiber Optic Laryngoscopes is modified English profile Macintosh Laryngoscope blade with a tip which is adjustable. A lever controls the tip angle during intubation to lift the epiglottis, giving a clear view of the vocal cords. Contact with the upper row of teeth and unnecessary pressure on the tongue and soft tissue are avoided.

  • A 4.0 mm diameter F.O.bundle with more than 5,500 individual fiber strands.
  • Available in size 2, 3 & 4.
  • Moveable tip facilitates difficult intubation.
  • Reduce likelihood of damage to teeth and soft tissues.
  • High quality fibers ensuring excellent light transmission. 4,200 lux with 2.5v Xenon/Halogen lamp and 12,500 lux with 3.5v  Xenon Halogen lamp.
  • Autoclavable up 134 degree approximately 4,000 times. No adverse affect in using ETO, steam autoclaving.
  • An enhanced viewing area compared to other brands due to channel in the lower flange.
Procedure:
  • Remove locking screw with a screw driver.
  • Pull out the green block and place the locking screw.
  • Fix new light guide and place the locking screw.
  • Be sure that the screw is properly secured in.
Caution:

Great care should be taken while performing this procedure to avoid structural damage to the fiber blade.
