Band Pusher

A Band Pusher instrument used for seating metal circumferential orthodontic bands into correct position on a tooth. Band pushers and band seaters are dental instruments that are used to aid in the placement and seating of orthodontic bands. A band seater is often referred to as a bite stick as it relies on patient biting force to properly seat the band. The instrument comprises two members one which constitutes a pusher and the other is an adapter by means of which the band may be manipulated such as for modifying or improving the fit of the band on the tooth.
