With three available tip configurations (sharp/sharp, blunt/blunt, or sharp/blunt), varying curvatures and multiple lengths, these scissors are used for general, multipurpose cutting and dissecting. Sharp Operating Scissors cut tougher tissue and are frequently used for dissecting, whereas blunt Operating or Standard Scissors are more often used for cutting materials such as sutures, tubing, or gauze. TC instruments are designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time than other standard instruments. TC instruments are identified by gold handles. This product is straight with smooth, sharp/blunt tips.

Dental Scissors Tungsten Carbide
A Dental Scissors are used for cutting and trimming various dental materials. Dental scissors designed to cut and/or trim prosthetic material. These scissors are typically handheld, manual, heavy-duty instruments with two metallic (stainless steel) blades with sharp edges that slide past each other (shearing action). The blades are usually attached to handles with the proximal end conformed as a ring to facilitate holding and operating with the fingers; both parts are joined by a swivel pin in the center. Prosthetic material dental scissors are used to trim and/or cut plates, collars, and crowns during dental prosthodontics procedures (including modeling plastic impressions).
