For incisions that remove or recontour soft tissue. Also useful to excise interproximal tissue. Pointed kidney-Shaped blades for gingivectomy bevel incisions. The Kirkland Knife is representative of knives typically used for gingivectomy. These knives can be obtained as either double-ended or single-ended instruments. The entire periphery of these kidney shaped knives is the cutting edge.
