SMS Goldman-Fox 11 knife is a periodontal instrument, with special blade angulations for long bevel incisions. The oval blade shape allows use of inner portion in the retro-molar region. They are round-handled, and come in a variety of tip styles. Spear-shaped interdental knife with offset blades. Spear Point, similar to GF8, except blades are offset for use in posterior region.

Knives
Knives are used for cutting, carving and contouring various dental materials or gingival tissue during periodontal surgery
- Designed with thin knife-like blade.
- For trimming excess restorative material on the gingival, facial or lingual margins of a proximal restoration.
- For trimming and contouring the surface of a class v restoration.
- Sharp secondary edges on the heel aspect of the blade are very useful in scrape-pull mode.
