SMS Instrument Wieder Retractor features a right-angled serrated blade to temporarily hold the tongue down or to the side away from the tooth and root area during various oral surgical procedures. The retractor is specifically designed to protect the tongue during lower jaw procedures, where the tongue must be removed from covering the occlusal surface of the teeth. The end of the handle is curved for better control and the blades are available in two sizes to accommodate a range of patients. Its overall length is 140 mm and 150 mm.Wieder tongue depressor is used to press down the tongue for a clear view during examination of the mouth and throat. This product is available in two sizes. Unlike the Hartmann, the Wieder has a serrated, fenestrated blade and a curved solid handle.
