Amalgam Carriers
A Dental Amalgam Carriers are unique placement instruments with a sleek design. They enable the operator to transport and place amalgam while minimizing finger fatigue. Amalgam carriers is double, single and gun type ended instrument. The dentist or assistant “scoops” up the amalgam (silver filling material) and places into the opening of the tooth. Amalgam carriers is especially useful for large fillings, so that the dentist can flip it to the other end for the application of additional amalgam.
Amalgam carriers are instruments used to fill the dental cavities with amalgam. They act like syringes, carrying in their tubular tip the amalgam which is inserted and pressed in the dental cavity by pressing on the lever which activates the piston inside the tube or the back end of the amalgam carrier. It comes in different shapes and sizes, according to the place it needs to be used, for the maxilla or mandible.
Uses
