Endodontic Condensers
Dental condensers designed to pack filling materials into prepared root canals.
Dental endodontic condensers are available to condense root-canal fillings vertically into prepared root canals.
There are two types of endodontic condensers.
The first type is referred to as a plugger or vertical  condenser. The working end is contra-angled, and cylinder-shaped with a flat tip designed to condense root canal filling materials vertically into prepared root canals. The plugger shown in figure 7-12, has .serrations at 5-mm intervals to evaluate penetration depth.
An instrument for compacting dental restorative material into a prepared tooth cavity. It has a working endcomp/for compacting dental restorative material into a prepared tooth cavity. It has a working end, or nib, with a flat or serrated face.
An Endodontic encompasses the study and practice of the basic and clinical sciences of the biology of the normal dental pulp and the etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the dental pulp along with associated periradicular conditions. Endodontic has evolved tremendously in the past decade and its applications have immensely improved the quality of dental treatment.
