SMS Instrument Miller Articulating Paper Forceps straight are a dental tool for handling articulating paper during bite adjustments and the instrument is also used for holding articulating paper when checking occlusion of dental restorations and teeth. Holding the paper with an instrument rather than fingers assures better and complete coverage of the restoration or teeth to be verified. The occlusal contacts on teeth can be located by marking them with articulating paper held by miller’s forceps. Articulating paper, held in miller’s forceps, is placed between the teeth and the mandible guided into whichever position is being assessed to record the points of tooth contact. The blades are grooved  cross-serrated, straight and thumb handle.

Dental Articulating paper Forceps
A Dental Articulating forceps has a pair of opposed long thin jaws extending from and offset from interconnected spring arms. The face of one jaw directed toward the other jaw has a central groove of determined shape extending their along, and the other jaw has a matching elongated projection adapted to be received by the groove. A device intended for carrying and holding dental articulating paper between the patient’s teeth when registering occlusal contacts. It prevents staining of the fingers of the operator with the carbon which covers both sides of the articulating paper.
